Through these three majors, the Division of Communications & Media provides a curriculum that develops understanding, insight into people and society, and systematic understanding and expression based on various media.
Major of Journalism fosters journalists and relevant experts responsive to the ever-changing media environment challenging traditional journalism in pursuit of new journalism. Journalism students acquire news gathering, reporting and announcing skills required in conventional newspapers, broadcasters and magazines as well as gain theories and practicums associated with the expertise in journalism and digital media environment. The career paths for journalism students include on-/off-line journalists, reporters, announcers, producers in current affairs programs, scriptwriters, and media critics.
